Reply:It really depends on where the score is, how many bags you have already, and what the bids are...

For instance if the other team has 300 and 9 bags and your team has 400 and 2 bags and you went nil but booked, you've tied the game. In this case you would not want to take more books because 1 more book and they will lose 100 points.

You have to do some quick calculations to see if it would be to your advantage to book or not.

'Nil' or 'zero' are words that convey nothing to me...... what I mean is that I really am unable to comprehend absolute nothingness without reference to space and/or time.... let me elaborate.

'Nothing' in physical terms at best makes me think of empty space which does have a physical existence. Similarly it at best makes me imagine time standing still, which does have an empirical existence in terms of how long it has stood still. I am unable to comprehend absolute nothingness which has no space or time dimension at all.

As a result, zero or nil merely conveys to me a kind of non-existence that exists in a closed space or time frame.

You want to make use of the difference in solubility of caffeine vs. sodium chloride in various solvents. Caffeine is only slightly soluble in water while salt is highly soluble in water. The opposite is true for organic solvents (though I don't know what you mean by "propanons"). The key is to find an organic solvent that is not water miscible, for example trichloroethane (TCE) or chloroform. Then add your caffeine-salt mixture to a water-TCE mixture. The salt will dissolve in the water, the caffeine in the TCE. Put these in a separatory funnel, shake the hell out of it, and draw off the water layer. Dry the TCE layer (over a drying agent) and evaporate off the solvent. You'll have relatively pure caffeine. If you save the water layer, you can extract any of the caffeine that dissolved in it by another TCE extraction.

If you are drinking multiple bottles of soda water that sodium will add up and slow your weight loss. It will only be temporary because the extra sodium helps you retain water. The recommended daily allowance for sodium is about 2300 mg

There are also the no cal flavored waters too, if you are looking for something different.

But if it gets you to drink more liquids and you're not overdoing it, then I would say go for it. Do you ever add lemon to your water? Reply:If everyone here is saying that there is sodium chloride content in soda water, then I should try drinking it instead of boring old plain water. I am 'salt' deficient and whilst a lot of people will drone on about sodium content being 'bad' for you, I simply need it so I don't get cramps and shrivel into a size 4.

This all started because 'all-knowing' wise people told me I shouldn't have too much salt... so I eliminated it entirely out of my diet and ten years later ended up with what they call restless legs, cramps and short term memory loss! I'm totally interested in web development and I'm not really into management. People keep telling me that unless I go into management, my professional growth in software companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS and CTS is virtually nil. Is that true? Aren't there any technical positions that are high up in the hierarchy and pay just as much as managerial postions?

Many companies have realised this is a problem and have created senior technical roles. Otherwise, they promote the wrong people into management and performance is bad or they leave, or both! I know a lot of people that are called a variety of things like "Senior System Architect", "Technical Evangelist", etc. Ask about these things when you are interviewing - every company is different and most will regard the fact you are considering your long term future as a positive thing at interview.

Can anyone give me some insight into how to find a good one that will act in my best interest and not just churn my account to make money?

Please give the pros and cons you have experienced. I am only interested in hearing from investors, not the advisor's themselves...and please if you are an adviser don't tell me to contact you for help, with all due respect, the likelihood that I would ever use a financial planner who advertises their service on yahoo answers is nil.

Don't bother with the large brokerage houses. Those company's are in the business of selling investments. The advice they provide is incidental to their sales business.

Seek out an independent adviser - preferably "fee-only". These people do not work on commission so you don't need to worry about "churning". Ideally go for someone who works for 1% (or less) of the "assets under management". You only pay them more when your account grows. When it drops, they earn less. Also, they have no need to throw you into a bunch of investments because they are being paid for their research and patience - the two things that will differentiate your portfolio from the millions of portfolios that will not grow enough for people to retire the way they hope to.

Find out what the adviser's views and philosophies are on investing. You won't retire comfortably by saving and investing - your investments have to perform well. If you are going to be thrown into a bunch of mutual funds, your adviser is probably trying to manage his or her clients more easily (keeping them invested the same way) than managing your money for your goals.

Your adviser has to know how the stock market works - it is not scary and you can achieve high returns if you do not gamble. If your adviser doesn't believe that, move on to one who does.

Forget the concept of "diversify to minimize risk". The second you hear that...run. The more you diversify, the less investment risk you assume. The flip side to that coin is that the more you diversify, the more "goal" risk you assume. A 5% return probably won't get you to your goals. Whether you hire an independent adviser or go at it on your own, understand the concept of what Warren Buffett calls "owner earnings", returns on equity and invested capital, and how to value a business. If your adviser tries to sell you anything but a great company with high, and increasing, owner earnings, return on equity and return on invested capital - fire him or her. Scoring each game

A game consists of a sequence of points played with the same player serving, and is won by the first player to have won at least four points and at least two points more than their opponent. The half of the court used for service alternates between sides, beginning with the right-hand half, known as the deuce court, and continuing with the left-hand side, known as the ad court.

As simple as this scoring appears, the running score of each game is described in a manner peculiar to tennis: scores of zero to three points are described as "love" (or "zero"), "fifteen", "thirty", and "forty", respectively. The origin of this scoring comes from the (quarterly) stations of the clock, where "forty" was, presumably, easier to say than "forty-five." The use of "love" for zero comes from "l'oeuf," French for 'egg.' (The use of 'goose-egg' for a zero score is common in baseball.) When stating the score, the server's score is stated first. If the server announces the score as "thirty-love," for example, it means that the server has won two points and the receiver none.

If each player has won three points, the score is described as "deuce" rather than "forty-all". From this point on, whenever the score is tied, it is described as "deuce" regardless of how many points have been played. The player who wins the next point after deuce is said to have the advantage. If the player with advantage loses the next point, the score is again deuce, since the score is tied. If the player with the advantage wins the next point, that player has won the game, since the player now leads by two points. When the server is the player with the advantage, the score is stated by him before the next point as "advantage in." When the server's opponent has the advantage, the server states the score as "advantage out." These phrases are sometimes shortened to "ad in" and "ad out."

Note that a score of "thirty-all" is functionally equivalent to "deuce", and "forty-thirty" is equivalent to "advantage". These equivalences are not used in a professional match where the umpire states the score. A score of "thirty-all" means that the players have won exactly two points each, while a score of "deuce" means that the players have won at least three points each.

The current point score is announced verbally before each point by the umpire, or by the server if there is no umpire.

Scoring a set

A set consists of a sequence of games played with service alternating between games, ending when the count of games won meets certain criteria. The players also swap ends of the court after each odd-numbered game. The score of games within a set is counted in the ordinary manner, except that a score of zero games is read as "love". The score is written using digits separated by a dash. The score is announced by the umpire or server at the start of each game.

In doubles, service alternates between the teams. One player serves for an entire service game, with that player's partner serving for the entirety of the team's next service game. In addition, players of the receiving team receive the serve on alternating points.

Traditionally, the set is won by the first player to have won at least six games and at least two games more than his or her opponent. More commonly, when the score is tied at 6-6 (each player having won six games), a special tiebreaker game is played. The winner of the tiebreak wins the set by a score of 7-6. The tiebreak is sometimes not employed for the final set of a match, so that the deciding set must be played until one player or team has won two more games than the opponent. This is true in three of the four major tennis championships, all except the United States Open where a tiebreak is played even in the deciding set (fifth set for the men, third set for the women) at 6-6. A tiebreak is not played in the deciding set in the other three majors - the Australian Open, the French Open, and Wimbledon.

Scoring a tiebreak game

At a score of 6-6, a set is often determined by one more game called a "seven point tiebreak." Points are counted using ordinary numbering. The set is decided by the player who wins at least seven points in the tiebreak but also has two points more than his opponent. For example, if the score is 6 points to 5 points and the player with 6 points wins the next point, he wins the tiebreak and the set. If the player with 5 points wins the point, the tiebreak continues and cannot be won on the next point, since no player will be two points better than his opponent. Since only one more game is played to determine the winner of the set, the score of the set is always 7-6 (or 6-7). Sometimes the tiebreak points are also included, for example 7-6 (7-4). Another way of listing the score of the tiebreak is to just list the loser's points. For example, if the score is listed as 7-6 (8), the tiebreak score was 10-8 (since 8 is the loser's points, and you must win by two points).

The player who would normally be serving after 6-6 is the one to serve first in the tiebreak, and the tiebreak is considered a service game for this player. The server begins his service from the deuce court and serves one point. After the first point, the serve changes to the first server's opponent. Each player then serves two consecutive points for the remainder of the tiebreak. Further, the first of each two-point service starts from the server's ad court and ends in the deuce court. After every six points, the players switch ends of the court.

History of the tiebreak

The tiebreak was invented by James Van Alen in 1965 after an earlier, unsuccessful attempt to speed up the game by the use of his so-called Van Alen Streamlined Scoring System (VASSS). For two years before the Open Era, in 1955 and 1956, the United States Pro Championship in Cleveland, Ohio was played by VASSS rules. The scoring was the same as that in table tennis, with sets played to 21 points and players alternating 5 services, with no second service. The rules were partially created in order to limit the effectiveness of the powerful service of the reigning professional champion, Pancho Gonzales. Even with the new rules, however, Gonzales beat Pancho Segura in the finals of both tournaments. Even though the 1955 match went to 5 sets, with Gonzales barely holding on to win the last one 21-19, apparently it took only 47 minutes to play.[1] The fans attending the matches preferred the traditional rules, however, and in 1957 the tournament reverted to the old method of scoring.

The tiebreak was then invented by Van Alen in 1965 and was introduced at the United States Open in 1970 after a successful trial period at Newport, Rhode Island. Originally, the winner of the tiebreak was the first player to reach five points, and there was no requirement that someone win by two points.

Impetus to use the tiebreak gained force after a monumental 1969 struggle at Wimbledon between Pancho Gonzales and Charlie Pasarell. This was a 5-set match that lasted five hours and 12 minutes and took 2 days to complete. In the fifth set the 41-year-old Gonzales won all seven match points that Pasarell had against him, twice coming back from 0-40 deficits. The final score was an improbable 22-24, 1-6, 16-14, 6-3, 11-9.

In 1971 the tiebreak was introduced at Wimbledon when the score in any set except the final set reached 8-8 in games.

In 1979 the tiebreak was changed to be in effect when any set reached 6-6 in games.

Scoring the match

Most matches consist of an odd number of sets, the match winner being the player who wins more than half of the sets. The match ends as soon as this winning condition is met. Men's singles matches may consist of five sets (the winner being the first to win three sets), while most matches are three sets (the winner being the first to win two sets).

While the alternation of service between games continues throughout the match without regard to sets, the ends are changed after each odd game within a set (including the last game). If, for example, the second set of a match ends with the score at 6-3, 1-6, the ends are changed as the last game played was the 7th (odd) game of the set and inspite of it being the 16th (even) game of the match. Notably in such situations where a set ends with an odd game, back to back games see change of ends i.e. ends are changed before and after the first game of the following set. A tie-breaker game is treated as a single game for the purposes of this alternation. Since tie-breakers always result in a score of 7-6, there is always a court change after the tie-breaker.

The score of a complete match may be given simply by sets won, or with the scores of each set given separately. In either case, the match winner's score is stated first. In the former, shorter form, a match might be listed as 3-1 (i.e. three sets to one). In the latter form, this same match might be further described as "7-5 6-7 (4) 6-4 7-6 (6)". This match was won three sets to one, with the match loser winning the second set on a tie-breaker. The numbers in parentheses, normally included in printed scorelines but omitted when spoken, indicate the duration of the tiebreaker following a given set, and specify the number of points that the loser of the tiebreaker won. Here, the match winner lost the second-set tiebreaker 7-4, and won the fourth-set tiebreaker 8-6.

A player, if asked the score of his match, will always give his scores first. If a player says the score of his match was 6-4, 1-6, 4-6, he won the first set but lost the next two to lose the match. See the next section for further details on how the score is announced.

Announcing the score

If there is no umpire to announce the score of a match, there is a specific protocol for stating the score. During a game, the server has the responsibility to announce the game score before he serves. He does this by announcing his score first. If, for example, the server loses the first three points of his service game, he will serve from the ad court. (Please note that in any given game, considering tiebreak games as well, a serving player always serves to the deuce court when the number of points played out so far in that game is an even number, and to the ad court when it's an odd number.) The server would say, "Love, forty." This convention is used consistently. After a set is complete, the server, before serving for the first game of the next set, announces the set scores so far completed in the match, stating his scores first. If he has won the first two sets and is beginning the third, he would say, "Two, love, new set." If he had lost the first two sets, he would say, "Love, two, new set." Reply:I play Teniss and it took me a while to figure out how to play the game, but i guess the person who made the game decided to do that instead of the 1 2 3. Maybe the person thought it was dull and boring that way.

The odds were taken from the difference between the points, thus 15/0 = 15 to 1, 30/0 = 30 to 1, 40/0 = 40 to 1, 30/15 = 15 to 1, 40/15 = 25 to 1, 40/30 = 10 to 1 and deuce was 2 to 1. No bet on 'advantage'.

Reply:It is normal to ask for 2 samples one after a month, this may well already show no sperm, however for belt and braces reasons a second sample is usually checked a month after that.
Reply:Right away. The tube that carries the sperm from the testes has been cut and burned. There's no way for any to get through. He should have gone back to the doctor with a semen sample to be tested to be sure but there are very rarely problems in that area. Most doctors allow you to bring in a sample as often as you like to be tested but most men don't bother with it after the first time or two.

Try a product called Boundery. It's a deterant. There are others you can use for the outdoors also. You're neutralizing the odor but not helping THEIR habit.

When you let them out you're going to have to walk them down and show them where to go the bathroom. Once they have done the deed reward them with treats and praise. (It's like re-potty training them all over again). It'll be a hassel in the beginning but once they've figured out it's a better thing going in the grass because they get goodies you won't have to walk them out anymore.

Do people still do this? I'm in the middle of gutting my flat and starting again. The task is mammoth and motivation is nil. I guess it's kinda a spring clean but after this I'm never going to let it get into this state again so hopefully there won't be the need for a 'spring clean' in the future. I have never suffered from white heads, VERY rare I have them. But for the past month, I have had at least one, daily. Some are huge but most of them are quite little.

My mother reckons it is because I have changed my diet for the better. I have cut down on dairy, fatty, greasy foods, sugar and salt to almost nil and have replaced them with healthy foods. My mother says that the healthy foods are pushing the built up bad foods out and it is coming out through my skin and once it is all out (in a few months time), I will have even better skin than ever before.

Do you think she is right? I started getting them about 1 1/2 months ago, a few weeks later had the flu for two weeks that is when the whiteheads were at their worse, and now it's a few weeks since I had the flu and I'm still getting white heads but they are SO tiny. Do you think the whiteheads were through the flu?

I hope my mother is right. What do you think?

One a day is no big deal especially if they are small. I assuming you are in your teens. It's most likely hormones and theres really nothing you can do about it. Your best bet is to keep eating healthy, and vary what you eat. Your mom's theory of the good food pushing out the bad is bogus, my mother always talked about stuff as if it were fact when she really has no basis for what she's saying, it really annoys me now, when I was younger I didn't know better. The flu and other colds can cause an increase in skin problems for a short period of time, yes. You can try acne skin wipes, but honestly, I always found that those irritated my skin more than just rinsing my face in the morning, afternoon, and night with warm water and wiping it clean with a towel. This helped get rid of excess oils and dirt buildup from the day. When I take my shower in the morning I use a small amount of shampoo to wash my face gently, and usually use cream rinse as well on my face afterwards. Don't go overboard on the face washing as if you clean it too much you will completely eliminate your body oils and moisturizers which isn't good, either.

If you feel like you really have a bad case of acne then go see a dermatologist, there are medications that do away with it these days.

Which kind of skiing? Downhill, traditional cross country, or skate ski cross country?

Biggest difference for downhill is that you want to keep the weight OFF your toes. Having heavy toes means that anything you hit will want to trip you.

Weight should be neutral (front to back) when gliding and the main push should be through the heel.

Your skiing will already have taught you to keep your knees bent. That is good on inlines. The basic position is with your nose, knees, and toes, in a vertical line.

If you hit rougher areas, slide your braking foot forward and reduce the weight on the front foot and on the toes of each foot a bit. That gives you more stability and lets the fronts bounce over things easier.

However, the turning skills from downhills will work well on inlines. If you are doing fast turns on inlines, you want to slide your inside foot forward so that they almost follow one line around the turn.

For really fast or sharp turns, crossovers are the best method. I hope that you don't do those on your skis %26lt;grin%26gt;.

Traditional cross country doesn't have much that translates.

Skate ski cross country uses a very similar stride to inlines.

Reply:Its a very similar process, but be aware that turning circles are much smaller on roller blades. Stopping distance is also shorter.

Balance will also be a little more difficult because i would think that you have already found that your ankles will get tired and ache more quickly on the blades than on the skis.

One good tip though, as you know, from early spring right through the summer, Turkey is extremely hot and dry so make sure that you keep all of the dirt, grit and sand out of the wheels to prevent anything seizing up suddenly.

Other than that just get out out there and enjoy yourselves.

A few years ago, when I was considering becoming a teacher, I found several suggestions for small classroom grants in the discussion forums at Teachers.Net -- http://teachers.net/mentors/

One of those was a grant for books from one of the dollar stores -- the chain basically gave a small check to every English teacher who requested it, to purchase books for their classrooms (real money, not credit at the store).

The NCTE (National Committee for Teachers of English) also had some discussion forums that exchanged this kind of information; I'm sure that other professional groups also share such data.

Many school districts have a "local foundation" (such as "[cityname] Partners in Education" or "[cityname] Education Foundation" that have a simple single-page grant form to get a small grant of $500 or less for a specific need.

Many local civic groups (Rotary Clubs, Lions, Kiwanis, etc.) also are quite responsive to small requests for assistance, especially if the request is related to some theme that the group is interested in (many Lions Clubs donate money for themes related to vision/blindness; Rotary International has focused on "polio eradication" as a major theme; local clubs often have specific "themes" but supporting teachers is something that ALL of these civic groups tend to do, when possible.)

One of the most difficult photography niches to penetrate is Fashion Photography. As suggested in an earlier answer, work as a Fashion Photographer’s Assistant. Also, take a closer look at the Fashion Photography industry and determine good points for you to enter. For example, at one time, I thought that I wanted to be a Fashion Photographer. I looked closer at the industry and determined that “newer” photographers can introduce themselves to clothing manufacturers and/or importers. Sometimes, they have industry specific shows. These are clothing demonstrated by models in front of industry salespeople – not the buying/gawking public. The manufacturers/importers liked to have photos of these low-keyed shows. Within months, I became known to others in the industry and got higher profile jobs.

I eventually abandoned Fashion Photography (I got tired of the pace). But, I was able to break into the Fashion Photography industry by introducing my self and my availability to small players in the fashion industry. I live in southern California. There are plenty of small fashion business communities that can use the services of photographers.

A lot of your risk for developing life threatening heart disease depends on your risk factors such as age, sex, family history, smoking, obesity, diabetes and hypertension. Depending on the presencee or absence of these factors you can be risk categorized. From that point on if you are someone who is in the moderate to high risk category, i would recommend that you comply with the recommendations of your physicians i.e. Stress test etc. to definitely rule out the presenc of heart disease.

Look, a stress test quantifies in a controlled enviroment whether there are critical blockages in your coronary arteries. It figures out what is wrong with you, if anything, how bad it is, and where it is. At this point you are just presuming. And presuming is not enough basis to take someone to the cath lab and do an invasive procedure. Besides, I imagine you want to get this fixed if there are arteries that are indeed blocked. This can be done in the same setting in most cases with balloon angioplasty and stenting. Further if you were to have critical blockages, then it puts you in a new risk category where it would be important to substantially reduce your LDL cholesterol with the use of statin medications.

If you want advice on how to naturally unblock presumed clogged arteries - don't want to do stress tests or angiograms - don't want to take prescription medications, then might I suggest you visit the alternative health section of this forum. They have lots of great advice that is "100% effective and has absolutely no side effects" They are lacking data to support those claims, but you seem like a person who doesn't need data.

However I do advise you see a Doctor as my wife reluctantly did.... she had been on meds for high blood pressure for a long time but had statins prescribed to reduce her cholesterol - (she is improving slowly)

Best way to get experience, since you say you don't have any (and you'll need an established curriculum vitae that lists experience and publications if you want to do research or work in academia) is to look for post doc positions at the universities that have programs in which you are interested. Don't overlook the smaller universities and colleges because they are often growing their departments and have post doc opportunities. Good luck.

yes, this is a good signal. babel is good. he is quick, talent and he can control the ball well on his feets. however, his form isn't that consistent.

Is it ok to leave a pet hamster in her cage for the weekend?

We want to get a pet hamster at work (a children's centre)- obviously it would have lots of outdoor space and time to play and explore in during the week. But what about the weekends? The possibility of any staff members taking it home for the weekend is nil! Is it ok leave her in her cage with plenty of water and food for the weekend, or is this cruel?

Yes no problem, as long as there is enough food and water to keep it going. They can get by fine on their own without humans, sometimes prefer it as they can just do their own thing. I used leave mine on their own for a week at a time when I went on holiday and it was fine, even left it for 2 weeks once. As long as the food and water doesn't run out, but all you have to do is get a huge bottle and keep it filled (they don't drink that much because of their size) and dump a huge pile of food in the corner of the cage (you'll see they don't also get through that much either). Definitely no problem.
Reply:You absolutely MUST get someone to take it home, or come in to care for it. Hamsters will get lonely if they are left alone for long periods and to this every weekend would end up with one very anti-social hamster! In primary school we had a hamster, and someone took it home every weekend and someone took it for half-term or Christmas etc, but the teacher looked after it for the summer. You could try this. However, I don't recommend a hamster at a children's centre, just because young children can be rough, and hamsters are quite delicate. They are also nocturnal, so they wouldn't really be as much fun. Try getting a guinea-pig; they are more robust, live longer, are diurnal and often more friendly. they eat a little more and need a larger cage or a hutch, but they are great pets. You could get two, to keep the other company!

Reply:Have you looked at all possiblilities? I had 2 russian hamsters they are small and easy to handle as are chinese hamsters although they are slighty more mouse like as they do cling on when walking and then there are sirean hamsters, many people are scared of hamsters whatever size but sirean hamsters are the biggest and are not as easy for young children to hold as they feel they are going to fall. Many schools etc have children that can take the pet home at weekends but you would need to ask about this. I think in my opinion that it wouldnt be fair although left in a cage on their own isn't a bad thing it wouldnt have fresh water which should be replaced daily.

This is because hamsters blow into the water bottle when drinking abd bacteria and food particles can get into the water if this happens on a friday night and it gets blocked ur pet wouldnt be able to drink or may be drinking contaminated water.

The last thing is if a hamster is scared of the noise of lots of children tapping nand screaming at the cage he/she is more likely to bite and then there will be all sorts of meetings etc where people can be reprimanded.

Plz think long and hard about it and plz if u decide to get it dont get siean as these are too large for youngsters to hold.

However, if no members of staff are willing to take it home for the weekend, what are you going to do during term holidays, i.e. 6 weeks? It's important to think seriously before taking on a pet of any size.

I owned shares in Company A. The shares were purchased less than a year back. Company A declared a 1:4 bonus share issue. They announced that that any fractional share entitlement will be aggregated and sold in the market and the proceeds distributed to shareholders entitled to fractional shares.

I received 6 shares and Rs. 66 for this bonus share issue.

1. I am assuming that the 6 shares will be treated as having a cost of acquisition of Nil for income tax purposes, i.e. if I sell them, I will have to pay Capital Gains tax on the entire proceeds. Please let me know if this is correct?

2. Since no STT was charged by the company for allotting these shares, will I be liable to pay Long Term Capital Gain tax if I sell them after 1 year?

3. How do I account for the Rs. 66? Is this to be considered as Short Term Capital Gain or is it to be accounted under some other head?

I have 2 outlets of 1/2 inches pipes from my roof water tank to 2 different bathrooms/kitchens. These outlets may be on the equal level or slightly different level. whenever my tank go near empty then one outlet is blocked with air and all the taps connected with that outlet gets blocked and water either totally stops in that taps or comes with near nil pressure and it takes weeks for the pressure to be normal or i have to call the plumber who use pressure pump to clear the air from pipe. Can any one tell how I can overcome this routine problem. Will instead of having 2 outlets of 1/2 inches if I have 1 outlet of 1 inch and then distribute it to 2 outlets of 1/2 inches solve this problem or if u know any other solution, please help as calling plumber every time is becoming very costly and also this problem is disturbing the routine life.

You need to install an air volume control on the tank. It has a float on it that opens a valve when the float is not held up by the water, thereby letting the excess air be pushed out of the tank when the water gets pumped into it. Very cheap and easy to install.

I was the fastest! Sadly not a trait that has continued into my adult life. I don't beleive that there is a seperate person in every spermoza. I think every spurt is just a million attempts at the same thing. The magical unique life point must surely occur at the baby's first breath, or perhaps when it becomes fully formed in the womb...otherwise what about all the failed little blastocysts that get expelled when women have their period? Just agreed to purchase a brand new Ford Fiesta 3dr Style 1.4 TDCI (Black Panther colour).

My company got me a finance deal of £190 per month over a 48 month term with nil deposit. This compares with the quote on Ford's uk website were Ford Finance offered the same car for £238 per month over 48 months with no deposit.

if you want to save your relationship go to a RELATE counsellor. Sounds like you have both lost your way and that is very common.

You both need to re-learn how to communicate with each other. A councillor will help you re-ignite the passion at your own pace.

Sex is just one part of a healthy relationship.

I recommend this book: The seven principles of making marriage work by John M. Gottman. It is not specifically about sex but it sounds to me that you are unhappy with your marriage in general. It will help you get all aspects of your marriage back on track. Until you start treating each other right it is unlikely the sex will return so take a good honest look at all aspects of your marriage-it will be hard but well worth it. All the best.

Reply:Are you staying in a apartment block/hotel? If so you should still be able to get something, though you may pay slightly more. I worked as a rep in Menorca a while back and generally new arrivals each week could get cars if they wanted them, even if they'd not been able to pre-book from the UK. They hold a few back just for this reason, and sometimes people cancel their bookings too, but when availability is limited prices start to climb.

You might not be able to get a whole week's worth, but perhaps 5 days? Just make sure you go along on your first day and collar the rep if there is one, or the hotel reception - they should be able to sort you out. If you're on a package a transfer should be included anyway, and if not there's an island bus service and tons of taxis to get you to your accomodation in the first instance.

I booked a hotel through an internet holiday company paid the deposit and they emailed an invoicve for this but when I paid the balance they have not sent an invoice for this and they say they dont have to. If you know the hotel you're staying at, call the hotel directly to confirm your booking.

If you paid by credit card (hopefully), contact your credit card company and see what they show. The other reason to pay by credit card is that if this holiday company does not provide you with the goods/services you paid for, the credit card company can refund you your money and go after the operator.

Quite possibly you have nothing to worry about is this is the result of a fasting blood glucose. However, if you had just eaten, then perhaps you could be heading toward diabetes. I would definitely follow up with your physician every year to keep tabs on your blood sugar.

Seriously though, politically that was a strange time and there where plenty of lies and mis-information going around. Just hold on there. It doesn't mean that because they are number one in the world that south africa will win. Oz do not have all there star players but it should be no excuse for them. Don't write them off and don't think they are not favourites.

It takes one match and they could be back on a winning streak. Suppose Pakistan and Oz end up int the final who do you think is going to win? We don't know and I will not label SA as the only favourites.

West Indies are good and its their home turf. My personal opinion is that Oz will not win. My money is on South Africa. However OZ is a very good team and can beat them.

The main area they need to look at is their bowling, particularly at the end of an innings in the death overs, as well as their spinning options. They are leaking far too many runs in the last 10 overs, particularly Watson, who seems to have lost the zip in his bowling from the Champions Trophy. And as for our spinners, Hogg and White, they have been outshone by part timers in Clarke and Symonds so far this summer!! To do "ipconfig", once you have your PC connected to one of the 4 ports in the router and the modem in the Internet port, go to DOS (click Start, go to Run then type cmd in the bar, click Okay).

just type ipconfig where the blinking cursor is and you should get the IP address of the PC, gateway which is the router an subnet mask. If you type ipconfig/all you can also find the DNS which is from your ISP, meaning you are connected to them.

Regarding configuring the router - unfortunately, you didn't metion what modem you have. Some modems may need the router configure in a slightly different way. If your SBC connection is PPPoE try this, meaning if your PC is connected direct to your modem and you need to log on to the internet using a connection manager (in other words, you need to enter username and password):

1.) Power off both modem and router.

2.) Plug the ethernet cable from your modem to the internet port of the router and one computer to one of the 4 ports.

3.)Power up modem, wait for the light to stabilize (or when DSL light is lit) - this indicates your modem has established communication to your ISP.

4.)Power up your router.

5.)On your computer open IE browser and hit the stop button (or F5) to stop it from getting online. You just need to use the browser to get to the router page and configure.

6.)In the address bar (NOT search bar) , type 192.168.1.1 and hit Enter. It will prompt you for the username and password of the router - leave the username blank, type admin for the password (if you had used the CD previously, this may not work - try the password you had entered before).

7.)Once the router page is up - choose PPPoE for Internet login type.

8.)Enter the username and password your internet provider gave you. You may need to type the username in email format (e.g. name@sbcglobal.com).

9.)Select Keep alive.

10.)Save settings.

11.)Click to Status tab (at the upper far right of the Linksys page). It should show you're connected. You should also have values for IP address and DNS Servers. If not, click connect. If an error comes up - "Authentication Failed" means either you mistyped your username or password, or both.

12.)If you get "Cannot connect to PPPoE server" your modem and router may have the same (LAN) IP address. You need to go back to Setup page and look for router's IP address (it will show 192.168.1.1). Change it to 192.168.2.1 or 10.10.10.1 - save settings on the router. Restart your computer, if you know how to release and renew the IP of your PC, you can do that instead. Then follow steps 5, 6 and 11.

If you don't need to use a connection manager and your ISP did not give you a username and password for your account, try this:

He has been in hospital 3 times in 8 weeks, always with vomiting and diarreah and severe abdominal pain which is in his right hand side and travels to his back. He has lost 5 stones in 3 monthes. He has been on a drip for the past 4 days (nil by mouth) and is still vomiting etc. Has had MRI scan, barium enema, endescope, scans, x-rays etc ALL CLEAR. His CRP blood levels show infection and he does, at times run a temperature. Can anyone recognise these symptoms as anything? Please help

Have they checked his gallbladder? If the pain is in the right upper quadrant or the right upper back, that's usually the first thing they look at. There's x-rays and blood work that will give them more information, and if anything comes back positive, they can do an endoscopic procedure called an ERCP to diagnose and treat diseases of the liver, pancreas, and gall bladder.
Reply:I think you need to be really careful about asking for medical advice on Y!A. The vast majority of people on here will not be doctors, and those that are shouldn't be attempting to make a diagnosis based on a short case history.

If you want the doctors to check, ask them to. Yes, things sometimes get overlooked, but they are the experts. They may well already have considered pancreatitis as a differential diagnosis and rejected it for some reason. If they don't think test are warranted, or they have tested but don't believe it's pancreatitis, get them to explain their reasoning to you. If you're still not satisfied, ask for a Consultant to look at your husband or for a second medical opinion.

The (large) gall stone showed up on ultra sound when she was first admitted to hospital - but after about ten days - all further tests were clear. We have family history of gall stones - anything in your husband's family?
Reply:pancreas is on the LEFT side, and if he did have pancreatitis it would have been evident in his blood work, long before now. The abdominal pain on the right side, with the elevated blood counts would make me consider the kidney first, especially as he is passing stones, have they done a KUB? Have they cultured his stools? and have they drawn a blood culture? It sounds more like cystitis than anything else, or a severe infection of the bowel involving the right ascending colon. Surely the doctors have considered all of these as well. Be patient, I suspect they will solve the problem soon.

I think though, that with anything, people should try to maintain their credentials. What if you are a SAHM and did some sort of volunteer work on the side that could pertain to the job you apply for...add it to your resume. Or if you know you want to get back into the workforce, take it one step further and take a class at a local college or online to show you're willing and able.

I have done this whether I'm a SAHM, a working Mom, a new prospect for this new job....you can always better yourself one way or another.

It might not seem fair, persay, but if someone is fresh out of college or came straight into the job from another related job, then it makes them more valuable. So basically, I would say, from a management perspective, to keep yourself active to keep yourself valuable. And you do not need to be in the workforce in order to do that......

You had to know that the gap in work experience - while the workplace was changing, you weren't - would count against you when you decided to go back. It's not as easy as just making a decision. Women in corporate careers - and I hate to say this because it sounds sexist but it's true - if you stay home for more than 5 years, plan to stay home or get a job at a local retail store when you go back. It's the way of the business world.

That having been said, there's no reason not to list the skills acquired while you were out. Did you volunteer? You had a job beyond taking care of your kids. Did you moderate an online group? Use it - use everything you can to show that you've stayed fresh and vibrant.
Reply:I just added my mothering experience to my resume..... You don't lose your credentials,no one can take what you've already accomplished away,you just put them on hold.And if an employer scrutinizes you for taking time off to be a f/t mom then it's their loss.... It's not fair.

Reply:It isn't fair, but you have to really think about it from their point of view. They don't know if you were using any of these skills during this time. Also, they have to assume that you don't have the up to date knowledge that they need. I have been a stay at home mom for 8 years and nobody wanted to hire me...even though I am very skilled in what I do. I went back to school %26amp; took a few classes in the newest versions of Microsoft...and it made a world of difference to just be enrolled in the classes. It showed that I am willing to update %26amp; fine tune my skills. If a teacher was to get her degree %26amp; not update her skills for 7 years...would you want her to teach your child? No...because her knowledge is outdated. These days 7 years is a whole lot of new versions of software, etc.

the literal translation is "I look at my address and there are no notes on the terrible boy".

Thats assuming the "are" third word should be ar (Gaelic for at) and the "on" should be an.

Probably needs to be put in context to make sense.

i've seen it and i would save ur money, even though it is number 1 in the film charts it, it is jus tiresome and one of the worst films i've seen
Reply:I was forced to watch this and the two before it. It was the hugest turd it has ever been my misfortune to witness. No plot, no acting, lots of racial stereotyping, it was witless in the extreme.

Apparently the credits were supposed to have been brilliant. Unfortunately the second they began to roll, I was sprinting for the exits, so I missed them. But when people start to judge a film by it's credits sequence, you know that you are not going to be giving an Oscars acceptance speech.
Reply:I saw it the other day and was impressed, i thought it was better than Rush Hour 2, lots more happened, it was funnier and the credits were hilarious, they probably slammed it cause it was a 3rd film but very good none the less

Reply:Critics aren't usually the best or most reliable source of information when it comes to judging films.

Its basically a case of if you didn't like the others or films of this type, you won't like this one. I know for example I cant stand art house or emotional chick flicks, so I don't watch them! It's not rocket science!

Personally I'm a HUGE Jackie Chan fan, and I loved the first two and this final one did not dissapoint, I loved it!

It's like most Jackie Chan films, just a bit of fun, a lot of chop socky action, with a few in jokes thrown in. I really enjoyed it and it made me happy for a few hours, isn't that what films are supposed to do?

And yes they made fun of racial stereotypes, but I found that absolutely hilarious! The whole I'm Hu, who? Hu! Joke was old but still really funny. It's so much better to be able to accept and laugh at these stereotypes for what they are, harmless jokes that no right minded person takes seriously than to get all offended like certain posters here.
